Denim Trends

Denim is everywhere always!  It is an essential part of every man and or woman’s wardrobe!  The best part about denim/jeans are that they are comfortable and easy to style… not much doesn’t go with your favorite pair of jeans!  Having said that, jeans are critical to our success and you can define success however you like.  Denim is as special and personal as underwear choices!  Denim fit is another topic we will cover as it takes awhile to take that one and make it happen, it needs to be a video!  If anyone has any ideas or wants to be a part of a denim fit video, let me know and we will try to put it together!  I did one a while back and we need a new and updated version!  Sooooo come along you creative and let’s get a DENIM VIDEO accomplished!

Let’s have a look at the 2017 trends, specifically spring denim as the winter denim has basically one difference, they wear it with boots instead of sandals!

Embroidered and/or Embellished is the Vibe!

The boyfriend jeans are a big trend this year and all the celebs are rockin’ it with some tight tops!  They look good on everyone and they are comfortable!  Finally the skinny jeans take a back seat, except for maybe in NEW JERSEY!

Let’s take a look at the cropped denim trend which is huge, even in the winter it is huge because it is showing with ankle boots!  The powers that be tell us that the trend for the crop usually has a high waist (waste) on me!  I have no waist so I look like a sausage, hence the reason for the call to action of the DENIM FIT video!  I am serious folks!!!!!!!  I prefer the crop but a lower waist version and not flared!  I do love the fringe and the ruffle!  Something about the ruffle is so femme and on denim it just rocks!

The staggered hem and the embroidered looks are really fun and basically just make a pair of boring jeans – “unboring!”

The last two trends I’ll mention are the patchwork look and the side lace-up look.  The patchwork denim in my opinion is ok, I am not in love with it not do I hate it!  I do however like the lace-up look if done in black denim as I mentioned, and my favorite designer and her new line @shopmotonera.com has some amazing edgy lace-ups!  Take a Look!
