Greetings everyone, I apologize for the sporadic blog posts! I will be traveling until mid-month so I will continue to have times where there is no post. I will post on IG and let everyone know when I have posted! There are some great things that we will be showing you so it will be worth the wait, stay tuned!
The days are gone where white can only be worn from memorial day to Labor Day! Its a fact and a guarantee that you will be seeing a lot of white this winter, clothing and accessories.
There is one white trend that you are going to see all winter long and it just so happens to be white boots- as in bright white! They are so much fun because they literally go with almost everything! You can see I love the white boots as witnessed by my Instagram posts (@jackiebeardrobinson) Maybe.. just maybe its a little overkill, I’m obsessed what can I say!
The second big trend in footwear is the new fangled combat boot! Here there is a lot of diversity with style, it would appear that anything a bit clunky or workbook looking is being thrown into the category of “Combat Boots” This is also a trend I relish as it is a very versatile shoe! Combat boots look great with a longer looser skirt (think fun weekend vibe) or shorter looser miniskirt with tights!
The combat boot also fares very well with the skinny jean- cropped or long and the boyfriend jean! And.. and the best part about wearing an updated combat boot is this.. It will do you right in crappy weather (snow/rain!) Just make sure you coat the leather, especially if they are suede, with a waterproof spray to protect them!
Lastly, a note on wearing white! Check your etiquette books folks! The ediquitte book-updated “version/s” are so big now! I have several and several that I would love to send to some people! HA!
Wearing white is basically a go with the exception of certain occasions such as weddings and various religious ceremonies as white (the color) signifies something very specific for whom the ceremony is being held! Again, check your etiquette book and have some fun thinking of who you might want to send a page or two!
Thanks again for your patience with our sporadic posts and stay focused on October when we will be doing some new interactive events with our readers!
